Why We’re Moving Away from Traditional CrossFit Training — And What’s Next at RADD Fitness, Nutrition, & Recovery

August 11, 20252 min read

At RADD Fitness Nutrition & Recovery, we believe there’s a big difference between training and exercising. Exercising is random — it might get you sweaty, but it doesn’t always move you closer to a goal. Training is intentional — it’s built on a plan that helps you get stronger, move better, and feel healthier over the long term.

Starting September 15th, we’re shifting away from traditional CrossFit training. While our workouts will still include conditioning components inspired by CrossFit, they’ll now be built on the foundation of a strong, linear functional strength program — because we believe your training should help you feel great not just today, but for years to come.

Our Goal for Every Member

We want you to develop and maintain the strength, mobility, and conditioning necessary to enjoy an active, pain-free lifestyle at any age.
That means focusing on:

  • Joint-friendly functional strength that supports real-life movement.

  • Balanced unilateral and bilateral training to address weaknesses and prevent imbalances.

  • Conditioning that improves cardiovascular health without causing overuse or burnout.

Why Strength Is the Foundation

Especially as we get into our 40s, 50s, and beyond, strength training becomes one of the most powerful tools we have to:

  • Keep joints healthy and pain-free.

  • Protect balance and stability.

  • Prevent injuries inside and outside the gym.

  • Make daily activities easier — from carrying groceries to playing with your kids or grandkids.

Our Fall Training Plan

From September 15th forward, our programming will follow a linear strength progression — meaning we’ll train in a way that builds strength gradually over time.
We’ll pair this with accessory work for joint health, mobility to keep you moving freely, and conditioning that challenges your heart and lungs without breaking your body down.

This isn’t about doing random workouts for the sake of intensity. This is about training with purpose.

Is This For You?

If you want to:
✅ Get stronger without feeling broken after every workout
✅ Improve your mobility, balance, and flexibility
✅ Prevent nagging injuries and joint pain
✅ Build a level of fitness that supports your lifestyle for decades

…then this is the perfect time to join us.
