Our drop-in rate is $30 per class. If you are in town for a longer period of time please let us know and we will discuss rates with you.

Meet Dan

Dan is a father and local teacher. He started his health and fitness journey on his own with P90X, Orange Theory, and was referred to RADD CrossFit by his brother in law. Since beginning with RADD he has been held accountable to his workouts and attendance, learning and implementing up to date nutrition tips and education, and mastering the skills needed to be successful in a CrossFit group class.

RADD CrossFit's Journey

Established in 2012 in Glen Cove, New York on the North Shore of Long Island

We know what it’s like to be overweight and lack confidence

Rob and Dan had an active lifestyle growing up, but nutrition was not easy. A bad diet was easier to follow since it was more available and easier to afford. We each gained over 60 pounds before we realized that things needed to change. 

We knew we had to share our success. We began our journey serving clients from the backyard of our mother’s home in the Spring of 2012. The three of us teamed up to form RADD which is an acronym using our initials, Rob, Dan & Diana. We built a solid following in the backyard until it was time to open a CrossFit near Glen Cove, New York.  

We opened RADD CrossFit NSLI in 2012 to guide the Sea Cliff, Glen Head, and Glen Cove area to lose weight, keep it off, and learn how to make their health a priority. We evolved our program to include Personal Training, CrossFit Group Classes, Nutrition Coaching, and most importantly a superior level of care for each member.

During the past 9+ years we have served over 1,000 clients and helped them not only to lose weight and keep it off, but learn healthy habits in and outside of the gym. 

Our mission is to continue to EMPOWER our members to be proactive and improve their metabolic health.


Do I have to get in shape to get started?

NO! You do not need to get in shape first. All you need is a goal to start making your health and wellness a priority. Most people consider doing CrossFit for a long time before they actually start and when they do they wish they started sooner. 


Why is CrossFit so expensive?

Have you ever hired a Personal Trainer only to find out that you’re paying $100/hour for them to count your reps? What about a Nutritionist? Have you ever subscribed to a Workout or Nutrition app? Add all of that up and you’re spending a lot per month on Fitness and Nutrition. We offer all of this for way less!

Is CrossFit Dangerous?

NO WAY JOSE! We take our time teaching you how to move properly with coaching and functional movements. Functional movements are movements that are safe and that we do every day such as sitting down, standing up, push, pull, etc. With us you will learn how to squat, press, deadlift, and much more!

I've seen the CrossFit Games? Those people are crazy. Will I have to do that?

The CrossFit Games make up about 10% of what CrossFit actually is. The other 90% is people who want to improve the quality of their life with cool people. You don’t have to walk on your hands and lift 500lbs to do that. Our goal is to give you a challenging workout that will help you get fitter and keep you coming back. 

Do I have to pay extra for Nutrition Coaching?

Our Unlimited Membership includes every service we offer to help you become successful. This includes CrossFit Group Class Coaching, CrossFit Workout Programming, Workout Tracking App, Nutrition Coaching, Meal Plan, Nutrition Tracking App, & much more.

About 7 years ago I started looking into some CrossFit gyms. I went to 3 gyms in my local area. When I walked into 2... of them they handed me a piece of paper saying this is our schedule and how much it costs. When I walked into RADD one of the owners Diana had a conversation with me. When I walked out the door I knew this would be the gym I’d try out first. Fast forward 7 years later I can’t say enough good things about them. Not only did they teach me about getting fit but they helped me create a better lifestyle for myself and in turn my family. RADD Crossfit constantly goes over the top to help benefit not only their members but the community around them as well. I’m a school teacher in the Glen Cove school district and on multiple occasions they have invited students into their facility to exercise and share information about running a business and nutrition. If I can describe the philosophy of RADD in a few words it would be, "You can do it!" This may sound like a common... phrase, but RADD lives by this philosophy from workouts, to eating, to lifestyle changes, and to overall mental and emotional health. RADD cares about the WHOLE person and helps you to achieve your goals. They treat you like family and they care about their people. Every coach works with you at your own pace and caters workouts to what you can do, and then pushes you to your next level. I recently joined RADD after moving from the city to Glen Cove, and so far the experience has been great! The owners... and staff have been incredibly welcoming, from the moment I requested information Dan reached out to me immediately (like, within a minute of pressing submit) and wanted to learn about my goals as well as what drives me to be fit and healthy. Since it’s a family run business, there’s definitely a personal touch you sense right away, they care a lot about their members and the quality of the space and equipment. With Covid, the safety measures in place have made me feel comfortable, and I’ve really enjoyed the workouts so far. The programming is well balanced and thought out, and it’s been great to help me get back in shape after quarantine.
